My segunda pintura al óleo. Vi esta foto y quería tenerla en un bastidor. Le he hecho algunos cambios, al original me refiero.

Vi la foto y pensé en tener cuatro de los mayores grupos étnicos en óleo. Fue muy difícil para mi tener cuatro primeros planos en una superficie de 30cm x 50cm. Mucho en tan poco. La mujer oriental sufrió muchos, muchos cambios, hasta tuve a una alumna mía modelando para mí. Pero al final... Gloria me dio esta foto de revista y ya!

Mientras bocetaba me di cuenta de la ausencia de la figura paterna. Murió, ellos acaban de enterrarlo. Ella está llorando y tratando de ser fuerte por sus hijos.

Un cambio de lo monocromático a los colores vivos. Quizá el trabajo que menos dice de mi, pero aún así un montón.

My second oil painting. I saw this one picture and wanted to have it on a canvas. I have done some changes, to the original I mean.

I saw the picture and I thought of having four of the mayor ethnic groups in oil. It was very difficult for me to have four close ups in a 30cm x 50cm surface. Too much in too little. The oriental woman suffered many, many changes, I even had a student modeling for me. But in the end... Gloria gave me this magazine photo and that was it!

While drafting I noticed the absence of the father figure. He died, they have just buried him. She is crying but trying to be strong for their kids.

A change from the monochromatic to the full colours. Maybe the piece that says the least of me, but still a lot.
